Below is a timeline to guide you and your family through the enrollment and registration process.

International Students: Complete I-20 registration & Guardian forms
(Madeira will begin the I-20 process promptly after enrollment is complete) -
Set up your Madeira network accounts

You will receive a series of emails from the IT department with instructions on how to set up your Madeira email account, Canvas Learning account, and the Student/Parent Portal. It is very important that you complete these tasks in a timely manner because important emails such as placement test information and roommate questionnaires will be sent to your Madeira email account.

Begin your Academic Registration process and make an appointment to meet with Academic Dean,

Your family will receive an email from the Academic Office with details about this multi-step process. View the 2022-23 Course Catalog.

International Students: Receive I-20 form from Admissions Office

International families who have completed their I-20 registration form will receive their I-20 form via email from the Admissions Office by mid-May. Students will need this to apply for their F-1 visa.

Upload a photo for the 2022-23 Community Directory
-
As a new Madeira student, you'll want to make sure your photo is included in the Community Directory. The Community Directory is published online in September. All parents, students, faculty, and staff at Madeira receive it at the beginning of the school year. It is immensely helpful for figuring out who is who as you are making new friends.

Update/confirm details in directory

As new Madeira parents, you'll be given access to student/parent and faculty directories in the Parent Portal. In May, you'll receive an email prompting you to confirm/update your address and other information including keeping certain information private from others.

Access health forms and schedule physical
-
Madeira requires all students to submit health forms (including a completed physical form) by July 1 unless otherwise specified in Magnus Health Portal. Health forms for 2022 will be updated in May and available in the Magnus Health Portal. Look out for communication from the Health and Wellness Center.

We want to ensure we are doing our utmost to welcome them into our community and set them up for success. Local Madeira families can volunteer in numerous ways, big and small.

Review the Student/Parent Handbook

The Dean of Students Office will share the 2022-2023 Student/Parent Handbook in early August. Parents and students are expected to review the handbook annually.
