Our Application for Fall 2022 is now available. The application deadline is January 15, 2022.

Application Process

2. Create your Ravenna account and begin your application

Ravenna is our web-based application system. Once you set up your account, you will be able to review each application step and submit application materials, register for events, track the status of your application, and view your admission decision.

Create your account using a parent email address that you will have access to throughout the admission season, as this will be your primary email contact with our School.

  1. Go to Ravenna and select "Create an Account," or if you already set up an account during the inquiry process, login using your unique credentials and skip to step 5.
  2. Enter a parent/guardian name, parent/guardian email address, and password.
  3. Ravenna will send a verification email to your account.
  4. Click the link in your email to complete your Ravenna profile.
  5. Click the green "Apply" button and follow the prompts to begin the application process to Madeira. Once you have created your account and started your application, you will see a detailed list of application steps and requirements and can begin submitting application materials.

3. Join us for an event

We are excited to share what makes Madeira so unique and distinct through a variety of virtual events this Fall. Engage with our faculty and students, learn more about our programs and community, and ask questions! Visit our Online Events page or your Ravenna account to see what events might be of special interest as you consider Madeira.

1. Submit an inquiry through Ravenna

Your first step is to submit an inquiry through our admissions portal, Ravenna. This allows us to share important information and updates about the application process and events and keep in touch with you during the admissions season.

In order to apply to Madeira, you will need to set up an account in Ravenna; you can do this when you complete the inquiry or do so at another time.

4. Schedule your campus visit and interview

We plan to welcome students who are applying for Fall 2022 to visit campus and have an interview with a member of the Admissions Team. Campus visits will be available early October through early January. Students who are unable to visit campus in person can schedule an interview via Zoom. Either way, we are eager to meet you! Our visit/interview calendar can be accessed through Ravenna.

5. Complete your Application in Ravenna

All application forms should be submitted through Ravenna; once you set up your account, you will be able to review the application steps, submit required forms, and request required recommendations and transcripts. If you are an international student, please click here for additional information.

Madeira also accepts the Standard Application Online (SAO) and Gateway Application. If you apply through SAO or Gateway, you do not need to complete the Ravenna forms; however, you will still need to create a Ravenna account. At Madeira, our students live and learn in a community that is representative of a variety of voices and experiences. We believe this is critical to our mission to innovate, launch world-changers, and foster values like compassion, curiosity, and awareness of self and others. This would not be possible without our robust financial aid program that allows us to partner with families with a wide-range of incomes. We strongly encourage any family of a strong, smart, passionate and caring potential Madeira girl to apply for financial aid if they have need of this resource.

Visit our Affording Madeira page for tuition information and more details about applying for financial aid.

We use the School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. Our SSS school code is 4768. The application deadline for Financial Aid applications is January 15.
