Emily is a graduate of Deerfield Academy and Dartmouth College where she was a four-year member and captain of the Varsity Swim Team. She has worked in admissions for almost fifteen years and joined Madeira in 2020 after spending 6 years overseas with her family. She lives on campus with her husband, 7-year-old daughter, and very large (and friendly) dog. Emily is deeply inspired by Madeira's mission to launch women who will change the world...because the world needs more Madeira girls!
Director of Admissions
Kevin Lawrence was born and raised in Montreal. He entered Avon Old Farms School, an all-boys boarding school, as an 11th-grader and thrived as a tri-sport student-athlete and leader. He attended Northwestern University, where he earned a football scholarship and was a four-year letter winner as a running back and a 2000 Big Ten Championship team member. He returned to Avon Old Farms, where he worked for six years as an admission counselor, advisor, and coach. He continued his career in admissions at The Lawrenceville School. Most recently, he worked as an educational consultant based in Shanghai, China. As a “girl dad” of a 13-year old, he enjoys working in a school community whose mission is launching women who change the world.
